This little beauty was in our tyre bay last Friday so I asked permission from the owner to take some pictures to share with you guys. He said that would be fine and then he opened the bonnet to show me how it looked in the engine bay.

He told me that the man he bought it from had removed the heater system , the w/washers etc. and the rear seats to lighten it as he used it for a sprint car.

A good day for them too, there's a man who comes in with and X reg. XK8 and he was in during the afternoon. His is a bright metallic red with tan interior and when I tested it earlier in the year he said he was going to have the rear end re-sprayed which he's had done and now it looks great. He also said he was going to have it Terra cleaned this week so when I see him I'll ask what a difference he's noticed. He also told me since I last saw him he's been diagnosed with cancer and has just finished his chemo, so he's only just felt like getting the Jag. out.

Just had the same thought...Great car all the same.

Must have been seriously good at sprints if removing the w/washer system and the heater system made any difference to his time.

Only complaint from me is the tie wraps, they are great at what they do but they do not belong underneath the bonnet of a car like this.

Some colour coded ones might have looked better Brian. They do catch your eye, perhaps because there are so many.

I'm sure the owner would be horrified that we're picking on the colour of the tie wraps rather than marvelling at the engineering beauty of that 265bhp 4.2l block =))

Got a Jersey number plate. Would look great there but not much use where the top speed limit is 40mph :(

When Jersey is mentioned I always think old Bodge-a-wreck driving his old Trumph!
