I bought a pair of seats off eBay. The seller agreed to shrink wrap them and I organised a courier to collect last Friday. They picked them up that day.
Got an email yesterday saying they were rejecting the parcel and returning the parcel.
Does anybody know a better way of sending them without having to cover in bubble wrap and cardboard?

Paisley freight do seats (I’ve has a set delivered via then fine).
Also d wheels engines etc. So not a ‘normal’ courier.

They are the ones which rejected them 6 days after picking them up.
They were shrink wrapped.
Will see if the seller will cover them in cardboard for extra cash

I'd just fetch them myself personally.

The reason they have been rejected is that they are very heavy for a manual lift, as already suggested they need to be palletised

Good info Sean, not ever seen that explanation mate, but obvious really. Thank you. Everything heavy that we get delivered at work always comes on pallets.

Tony.

Thanks for all the advice. Maximum weight limit is 30kg so I'm guessing it's under that each.
The reason it was rejected was because they said it needed bubble wrap and then covered in cardboard.
As I was only shrink wrapped they deemed them not packaged properly

>25kg is a two man lift. This may be a reason for rejection.

It's 200 miles, so I'd expect it to cost £150 sameday, or around £50 as a backload.

I don't know how much it would cost to go through a network, as it would depend on where their depots are.

I packed up two seats in boxes filled with all sorts and sent them to the isle of Man, no issues and no pallets. About 20kg each I think.
