Best battery for Z3M S54?

My Z3MR has failed to start and even a night connected to my CTEK has failed to bring it to sufficient life. Typical just as we get some decent weather! To be fair it’s the first time I’ve had to replace it since purchase of my car over 11 years ago. Winter within a Carcoon with battery conditioner has helped longevity.

So what to buy? I do like Bosch as a brand and have purchased batteries from Tayna in the past at excellent price . There are two batteries listed as being suitable
being the S3008 640 amp at £78.92 plus delivery or the S5008 780 amp at £87.22 plus delivery. Not much of a price difference so the more powerful battery seems the way to go. Except.. the OEM battery is (I think) a 640 amp battery and I wonder if there’s any implications for the car’s electrics by using a more powerful battery?

If anyone has a view on this I’d be grateful for any advice! Thanks in advance.

When I had an MCoupe and discovered its battery was spent, this is the exact one I went for too and it was great.

I replaced my battery a couple of years back on my Z3 MCoupe. Went to my local motor factor and got a Bosch S5008 way cheaper (£40) than equivalent Halfords battery.
Turns out when I looked up previous owner’s service records I had paid less that they had 10 years earlier. The battery had done well though, 10 years.
