Guys, my air bag light is on and I am getting 03 38 on the b800, the problem is that I can't find a link to the codes anywhere, can you help please.
Thanks Gaz, the 03 comes up first, press the button again and get 38,Just grabbed my handbook from the car, and the first two digits are usually the table number - but I can't see a table labelled 03. There is a table labelled "Table 03 and Table 38". Do you have the numbers the right way around?
Table 38, code 3 is "Supply voltage"
Could be 3B mate, have you got the link, I am almost certain that the fault lies with the passenger side even though I don't have a passenger air bag.Sean you sure its 38 and not 3B ? quick check on webby and 3 B is - 'firing circuit, passenger airbag , stage 2 .
Of course this could be total rubbish if so ignore.
or could be this - 38 Coupling in firing circuit head airbag (ITS) leftCould be 3B mate, have you got the link, I am almost certain that the fault lies with the passenger side even though I don't have a passenger air bag.
Did you disable the N/S occupancy sensor Sean?Could be 3B mate, have you got the link, I am almost certain that the fault lies with the passenger side even though I don't have a passenger air bag.
Yes mate, that was the last fault that I had, all it took was to disconnect the occupancy mat in the passenger seat, this fault occured shortly after Molly had raised the seat to its max height,Did you disable the N/S occupancy sensor Sean?
Tony.
Thats the plan mate, I am going to take the seat out and check all the connections,You could try (with the key out of the ignition) unplugging the wiring under the N/S seat and reconnecting them, then switch ignition on and see if the cars self test puts it out. This worked for me on an old Freelander last week at work.
Tony.
It does have a pretensioner mate.It wouldn't re-set Steve, we tried today. Sean's car doesn't have a N/S airbag, so no pre tensioner.
Tony.
I misheard then Sean, so it could be the pre tensioner although I don't understand why it has one unless it fires off the O/S system? It does have a pretensioner mate.
They are on connector blocks as I bought the loom adapters from BMW when I put the sport seats inSurely it should still have the pretensioner for the seat belt? you would see the cylinder down the side of the seat?
connections under the seat are for the mat and a pretensioner.
I would just say solder the connections or bullet joint them together.
It won't clear though pal, so hopefully I will find one thats not in properlythe connections are notorious for putting a fault on when slightly disturbed. It only take a millisecond with the ignition on for it to flag a fault up.
