Hi, Im looking at buying a set of alloys (with tyres) and will need to arrange a courier to collect them. Anyone done this for items of this size weight? If so who did you use and what was the cost?

It would be a 450 mile round trip if I collected myself and I don't really have the time.

Cheers all

Look at Paisley Freight, sent a few wheels with them..about £50 for 4 with tyres. Also worth looking at Shiply (man in a van) and get a quote. Used them to deliver my first Zed

I just recently used Paisley and they charged £50 for 17" alloys and tyres. The sub it out to APC who despite telling them where to leave them they obviously found it too far to walk but overall cant fault the service and for £50 it would have cost me 3 times that in diesel and time.

May be a silly question but were they 'wrapped up' or packaged? As I don't think the chap I'm looking to get them off will do this

Paisley are allowing un-packaged now..before everything needed to be boxed or palleted. One reason I used Shiply before was they will take stuff ‘as is’. Moved a huge wooden climbing frame in multiple pieces and a tandem bike with them before
