But this time it's our Z3 which passed today with flying colours:thumbsup:. No advisories and the chap said she was in good nick for her age and mileage. I'm a very happy bunny.:joyful:

Just as an aside he said 'You're not poisoning anyone while your driving her', 'pardon' I said, 'look at your CO readings, pretty low'.

So resident MOT tester @t-tony, are these readings good?

Hey Dave, that could hardly be better. Could almost be a carbon copy of my old baby on the last M.O.T.:)
Great news she passed with flying colours too. That means you'll be able to spend more time waiting on Pauline then.;):)

Tony.

Well done on your MoT. I cannot understand the results at all. I get an advisory on my Z3 on Undertrays fitted obscuring some underside components. They are standard fit as far as I am aware.
You must live in a very clean area. Your maximum CO limit is 0.20%. My maximum limit (%vol) is 0.300. Different figures completely.

0.2% is the fast idle limit - 0.3% is natural idle limit - @t-tony will be able to confirm but may not be working on his birthday;)

1st and 2nd fast idle on my sheet are listed as 0.300.
Natural idle is 0.500
HC is 200ppm on both and not listed on natural idle.
Lambda on both is min=0.970 and max=1.030
My CO % vol were 0.504 fail and 0.207 pass. Natural idle was 0.327 pass.
My HC was 55 pass and 30 pass
My Lambda was 1.033 fail and 1.021 pass.

The difference between 0.200 and 0.300 is vast. It would appear that MoT levels vary between testers.

When we got back last weekend Shirl was going through the post as usual and she launched a reminder for her MOT across the table saying " You'd better see when this is due". So I did last Monday, and it ran out on the 30th September !!
A hastily arranged test for later Monday afternoon. OOPS.

Tony.
