Saw this on Friday as this shed came in for test. "ER, I knew about that but thought I'd leave it till the test!"

Volvos have a fantastic turning circle, had a few and the shoulders always suffer, however would not dare to put this in to a garage like this :(

It baffles me as to why people offer their car's for an MOT with tyres like this yet it's so easy to get them changed

I'll say they sure do.
The way I see it is the four points that connects with my car and the road are the most importants anywhere

One area I don't mind spending a bit (well a lot) of money on.

Not visible enough...in my opinion!
Tyres should have a max wear ply, in high vision color, with the message: "Please, replace me or make your will!"
It will help this stingy people to keep their lives...and other's too.

Your little shop of horrors is frightening - I suspect that the owner of this fine example is expecting the solidity of Volvos will protect him from his own stupidity!

My god how stupid are some people!! Those should be on the rear so that when it blows he will at least be able to steer it into the nearest obstacle, probably my car with my luck!! JIM
