It's been a while, but I saw this on a Vauxhall Combo van last week. It really is difficult to believe that the owner didn't know his O/S/R tyre was so out of shape that this had happened. It had worn right through the steel wires and into the next layer of rayon cords. Must've been ready to explode.

One off the worst I've seen for a long time.

Unbelievable.:(

By the time that moron was 1 minute up the road he would have forgotten all about it Steve. Sad fact of life, simply because he "got away" with it.:(

I think it's because cars aren't seen as a luxury any more, but more of an entitlement and as long as it starts and drives that's the only concern. This has most likely been said before I guess.

It's not just the tyres on some cars that's dangerous - it the van drivers delivering new tyres too. I had a van from Kingsway tyres who was less that 2 feet from my boot lid. So close I couldn't see any of his number plate at all. After passing a tractor and leaving him well behind he caught after three miles and did it again so I pulled off down a little loop and rejoined behind him to get out of his way. He was doing it again to some other poor driver. The guy was a maniac and needs to be taken off the road. I used to complain to the transport managers but they don't give a toss. Simply don't buy from Kingsway Tyres.

I hate such drivers. They stick in few feet from a boot and not bloody realising there will be crash if I ever lightly touch the brake pedal. Morons simply stupid enough to not realise how long it takes between my stoplight on and he put his bloody foot on brakes...

I think maybe telling their MD they just lost nearly 4,000 prospective customers in less than five minutes might have an effect. Wish I'd been in the LR - got a dashcam in there.

Well, if you can speak to their MD it would be great. Such bastards must be immediately fired (even if there is no way to get them out of the road at all). I am ok, I had 600K km behind me, but my miss is young driver, and often drive with kids. She told me similar story - somebody stuck to her rear bumper and followed her for couple of miles on Kenilworth road. She is not that confident driver as I am and was completely stressed. I'd like to talk to this guy as we, Eastern Europeans, can talk. That's wouldn't be nice experience for him.

Btw, dashcam for her seems a good idea, will order some today!

Kingsway tyres owned by Bridgestone UK. I think a phone call to their UK HR Director might be happening. They can deal with the individual and show me his warning or even better his P45 or their pain grows - am sure they don't want to annoy a whole community that potentially uses their premium tyres - the power of the Internet :ymdevil:

Edit : And their UK head office is just around the corner from where Gail works.

Totally makes sense. Any advice on cam model? I don't want to spend fortune, but defo want one on windscreen and one at rear of her car. Something that just discrete turns on with ignition and do not require any manipulation would be great.
