After several fruitless weeks, I bought this tonight, goes with Mrs z3 well. 2000 525i auto, loads of history, long mot. Full drug dealer spec, black with black leather. Hopefully get a few decent months out of it. Aware of e39 issues, box seems sweet and cooling system upgraded last year. Getting over 30mpg too!

Best of luck with it. I'm almost in the same boat. Just bought an Acura 3.2 RT 1999 as a daily driver. Since I sold my truck, and I'm selling my Z3, I don't want to keep using my wife's Isuzu Rodeo as a daily driver (not that I drive that much anymore)..............Frankie
Discovered a rockape mechanic has bodged fitting a new expansion tank with judicious use of araldite around the overflow pipe, so, first preventative maintenance task is to order a new one and pipes. Cooling system a known weakness so best jump on it now .Covered 120miles in blissful comfort nonetheless, lovely old thing
I looked at one of these a couple of years back to use for work and bobbing about. It was extremely tatty externally although solid with no rust at all. I know what you mean about "drug dealer" spec lol. Like sitting in your grannies armchair, more cream leather than a little. I know how much @GazHyde and @Lee love cream leather
