Alternator replacement m44 1.9

Hi everyone,

just had my alternator go on the z (boo!) ideally would like to attempt to change it myself, Has anyone got any tips/helpful guide or advise before I start taking the car to bits!? …Or if it’s a right pain in the backside I may have to bite the bullet and get it over to a local garage

Get some plasters and a swear box..would be my advice..but then that’s my advice every time I open the bonnet

Piece of cake Jack. Have search on YouTube for BMW Z3 1.9 Alternator replacement. If you can’t find anything give me a shout back. I’m in the middle of doing an oil change on an Eos.

Spent the last week or so cleaning to the nth degree as taking to a show on Sunday this zed does very few miles only done 6k since 2012.
My Dakar on the other hand has done nearly 40k since 2016.
