To much cleaning and faffing of late so time for a well overdue drive.

The good thing about going out in the fog is that getting a parking spot at the local viewing point is easy - and irrespective of the weather there is always a view to admire

Apparently the issue with peeling roof buttons only affects 2009 & 2010 cars - not sure if that is entirely correct but mine were in need of a change.

It appears the breakers have got wise to the issue as you can't seem to find a set of buttons for under £150.

So having ordered some replacements that finally turned up from China I removed the gear knob and centre console trim.

Judging by the debris underneath this was the first time it had been removed.

With the centre console out it's a relatively easy job to remove the ashtray and then the control panel in order to remove the old buttons and replace them with the new ones.

Once evertything is cleaned up, back together and in place it all looks much better. Another fiddley little job but they all make a difference.

I did consider the stickers but I'd heard mixed reports - the buttons weren't cheap but I was very pleased with the quality
