Ok, so I took my zed to have alloys refurbished Monday morning, using a good firm I've used before, wheels going from silver to ferric grey, discussed 2 different shades to try and match up with bodywork. Got the phone call Tuesday lunchtime to say they were done, rocked over to fetch the car and when they pulled out of the workshop there stairing me straight in the face were a lovely set of refurbished SILVER wheels! The gaffer wasn't to pleased when I pointed out the error, bottom line they're re doing them for Friday which means they've had the car all week, I'm obviously not to happy about this, also I found out the branch is closing for good on Friday which doesn't fill me with confidence, just have to hope they're professional enough to do the job right.:banghead:

I'd be a little worried with them shutting up shop. Hope it all comes good.

Bad news, but at least they're redoing them before they close. Just think if you were picking them up for the first time on Friday:eek:

Hey T-Tony...... spacers and springs....not 19's and springs? Whats the score with 19's and correct offset etc? I can make the 19's fit okay and keep speedo about right....but there will be a few mm difference regarding scrub radius. Does anyone have much experience with this? Would I notice a few mil on the front for everyday driving....or only on a track??

Great looking wheels now benf!!!

The thing with spacers is that they push the wheels out to fill the arches more. A person to ask about 19's is Pete @gookah as his wife's car has 19" wheels (which, by the way look very nice).
