Alloy Gaitor’s or similar?

Any body got any of these wheel edge protectors fitted to there Z? Been looking around for a while and think I’ve made my mind up on these Alloy Gaitors. Any experience of them anyone?

Had them on my m135i when I bought her first thing I did was take them off looked really tatty spoiled the look of the alloys

I see them or similar af work from time to time have to agree with @Keavo69 they tend to look cheap and tacky plus become a hassle when tyre change required.

Plus 9 times out of ten you clip a kerb damage the gaitor and still manage to damage the alloy and tyre.

Thanks for that guys, I think I’m changing my mind about these, my two concerns are how they’d look and whether they actually work. Think you’ve answered it.
