Removing parts has indeed become "a hobby"
Now busy with the wiring. That's why I need the airco out as a lot of wires go behind it.
For example from all the wiring coming from the back of the car, 2/3 came out.
I am accumulating them in a bucket, so will weigh it in the end to see how much weight in general came of the car.
For example, all the central locking came of, the wiring to the exhaust-valve, electrical soft top, boot-lights, numberplate lights, lot's for the radio (CD-player), everything for the electrical seats, etc, etc
Undone until the general wiring loom by the feet.
I have been thinking of what I should do with the battery...the cable running from the back to the front is enormous.
Thinking of putting the battery near the passengers foot well.
The airco is something a little different.
I know that the weight of the complete system is huge.
Secondly, the airco pump can actually take up to 5 bhp from the engine.
I know that in my old cars (low bhp) driving to Spain, on hill climbs, when needing to accelerate (passing a truck or something), switching the airco off, really made a difference.
As the power of cars have increased, you don't feel it as much, but I would think that the loss of power is still there.
Thirdly, the radiator for the airco is blocking some fresh/cold air to the normal radiator. Although I don't have overheating problems (not even on track), better to be safe then sorry.
