Hi all,
For context: 2007 Z4 was fine through March, left it for a few weeks when it snowed, came back in April and went to turn the ignition on and the horn started going off and the car wouldn't start as if the battery was dead. Did a bit of research checked the horn fuses which were fine and then unplugged the battery, left it off for an hour or so to take the airbag off and noticed moisture/condensation on the metal horn contact points, thought this was probably the culprit, wiped everything down, let it dry for a day or two. Subsequently clipped the airbag back in, changed the battery and now the airbag light is on, indicators are working but lights don't show up on the dash and I can't hear the indicator clicking noise while indicating but they are working, reverse sensors don't seem to be working either. . Starts, runs and drives fine, hill hold assist works fine, brakes are fine etc.
Tried, Creator c110, c410 OBD scanners and a delphi diagnostic system, none of them pick up the airbag module or pillar modules etc, they only seem to read the ECU and no codes on there. The only codes I can find, which I believe are from the DTC section on Creator, are 87 - K bus (delphi system says K bus short circuit to positive), BE Data filing different to central light module (delphi system says CAN communication open circuit). I have no idea where to start with this, could this be a fuse/relay issue, or a module issue? Any ideas are appreciated
Edit: checked fuses again, all seem ok. Noticed the roof buttons aren't working, I didn't check these before. Steering wheel buttons aren't working, fans only seem to work on first speed setting irrespective of the where the dial is turned to. AC light doesn't turn on but I can hear it coming on, rear demister light isn't coming on, auto climate control light comes on, recirc lights come on, hvac vents all seem to be working. Radio is working. Stumped.
