Let me caveat that I have not had my system up and running yet………
However, I have transferred the 2.2 compressor onto my 2.8 and everything lined up perfectly physically.
The only difference I found was the black trigger wire to the clutch has a different connector, so I spliced a new connector from my donor car to my own car. So I see no reason that it will not work. (I did not change the physical clutch).
I am not able to test it and prove it works until the system is re-gassed and has pressure, as there is a fail/safe pressure switch that prevents the clutch pulling the pump into action if there is insufficient coolant in the system : otherwise it would burn the pump out.
I hope to have my system up and running in the next week / 10 days so will let you know.
Essentially if you find a pump for sale ask for the car loom electrical plug that goes with it.
