I would agree with Murray your current codes are a bit vague a more sophisticated diagnostic system will give you a better description.
Most common faults are related to the seats ( light will come on if seat removed and ignition turned on ) the drivers seat only has the seat belt pre tensioner on the seat belt stalk and the passenger seat has the same plus an occupation sensor ( drivers seat doesn't have this as the car assumes you can't drive it with being in the drivers seat
)
Air bag control Modules can also go wrong also the 'clock spring ' this is the piece that is fitted to the rear of the steering wheel that allows the wiring to turn from the wheel to the column.
Airbags themselves seem to be reliable can't say I have ever read a thread on here where the actual airbag itself was the fault.
Better diagnosis is the key to tracking this fault.
