advice on disconecting battery

I have got to have my battery disconnected,for some welding to be done by the firm makeing and fitting my new quad exhaust system.once re connected,. will i have to get things reset,warning lights etc,i know the radio code will but is there likely to be anything else.many thanks pete.

Nothing to worry about, perhaps the alarm under the bonnet will go off if you havent switched it off first usually with a small round key. Radio code may be needed. ;)

Hi pete59, when my battery died, due to not using the car as at the time it was snowed in, the only problem I had was that my alarm stopped working.
Central locking works fine with the keys but the alarm does not recognize the remotes any more...... have still not sorted it as I have to remove the glove box to reset the alarm module. :(

Thanks lads for advice,the alarm on my zed seems to just flash the hazards and no sound,never really understood it ,i only found that because i rocked the car when locked.

That means your alarm is switched off under the bonnet. Depending on what car you have its to the right of the engine bay. at the back, should be a small plastic cover on it which lifts off to reveal the switch which the small round key goes into .
