I've owned this 1997 2.8 auto since Sep 2012.
She cost me £2700 and since then I've spent nearly £5k on overhauling the mechanics, cosmetics and interior components (roll hoops, seats, console, trim etc), new wheels, new Stainless exhaust with sports cat the list goes on.
In hindsight I should've bought an ///M, they were only about 6k a few years ago, regardless she always puts a hOOge smile on my face and she even got me banned for 3 months too .
The lotus Elise provoked me your honour.

Anyhow, she's nothing spectacular but she's over 18 years old, absolutely mint and only has genuine 60k on the clock.

I'm always flitting around between Colne-Lancashire, Harrogate & Ripon-North Yorkshire and Bradford-West Yorkshire.....only when its sunny though, my garage queen will melt if i get her wet!

she's not even been machine polished in the 3 years I've owned her, Its on my to do list.

Hey Tony, my cousins Trabant is a quality machine...
engine and gearbox out, piston changed, clutch changed and all back together in the car in under 60 minutes!....they don't make them like they used too!

As for a meet, sounds like a plan, but there better not be a whiff of moisture in the air lol

Hi Sirius-c and welcome from me In Hertfordshire, lovely Z but it's going to get wet and it was made with a hood just so you could turn up in the rain, rain shouldn't stop the use of these great sports cars and while you may rely on the weather forecast it's definitely gonna get wet, just make sure you don't leave the wet hood folded away for long periods ,now you've spent all that time and money on it go drive your lovely car and let people see it come RAIN or shine. I would love to see it. Rha, Roy.
