. . . to the ridiculous. First a horror story. Found on a test, this O/S/F tyre on a car which has been modified to carry a passenger in a wheel chair.

All the way round the tyre (advised last test wearing on inner edge) does make me wonder (Ooh, and it makes me wonder).

Later on a nice looking car (from about 1/4 of a mile) a FWD Lotus  Isuzu Turbo. 1990 so no Cat test (maybe not a bad thing?).

Could be made nice I guess, just not my cup of tea.

Gorgeous Z4 in the back ground though.;)

Meanwhile later, as we were getting ready to flee, this,

The owner had called to collect some inner tubes, when he fired it up it sounded gorgeous, like sports car should. He said it had just had a new engine.

Tony.

ps. Thank the Lord for Swallow Sidecars eh?

That tyre is just inexcusable as it was noted last year and they ignored it?

Some people really shouldn't be let loose on our roads.

I say bring back Police spot road checks.

They used to do it a lot round here, and get loads of offences, even people who were on the wanted list.

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest being pulled into a layby every now and then for my car to be checked, and I'd be happy knowing that they'd be catching people who aren't insured, or who have defects like Tony has seen above.

Our Police service really has lost it's way.

It’s ok, with all the cameras/black boxes/public shopping each other in with dash cams no one will go over 30 anyway so no chance to ever have a blow out..
