Note it is M Sport finish and not a Sport.

Wrong wheels and looks like a matt silver replacement gear knob not chrome. Just makes me a little cautious what else is not original.

It's been up for sale for a while, it's got to be worth a cheeky offer of £5500 it's got the desired sports seats, probably the best one for sale at the moment.
I went to look at a Black 3.0 sport recently, with black & red leather, had 39k miles. On viewing the car it was a real let down and not as advertised. The hood was knackered and the whole drivers side painting. Made me realise how good my car is, so I walked away.
Turned out that a guy from Cambridge bought it, same guy that now has a silver 3.0 for sale on eBay.

I prefer them in silver not black so wouldn't get a cheap black one to do up.

It's like anything else, especially with the unpredictable prices for a Z3, its only worth what someone will pay.

As I've mentioned before, I'd love a 3.0 but would I pay the extra 2 - 3K over a 2.8? I'm afraid not, yes it's 40bhp more and it may be noticeable in real world driving but it's a big price difference.i genuinely think allowing a 2.8 to breath properly makes for a more than capable car.

That's the guy from Cambridge, mileage is good but no sports seats or sports suspension. It's a £5k car
I wonder why he swapped a nice looking car like the silver one for a rougher black, albeit Sport one?

A 3.0 non-Sport should have the Sport suspension as standard. The only differences on a 3.0 Sport (not true of other engine sizes) are the Style 78s, Sport seats (as standard) and the centre console in aluminium.

On early 3.0 non sport models, M Sports suspension (which consisted of uprated shocks, sports lower springs and thicker anti roll bars) was a option.

The black car will be up for sale soon once he's done all the bits, probably for about £10k.

It's madness really. To the unknowing they may think they are getting a bargain and a great 3.0l when in reality they are on the bottom rung of a 3.0l

The 3.0l will grow a lot more in value hence the asking price, 2.8s are far more common and it performs a lot better according to those in the know.

I spoke to the guy from Cambridge and yes he bought the black one, he has dent removal company and it sounds like he buys restores sells and moves up the spec. Also the car is stored outside which put me off a bit and I think it's on 5 owners. You guys will know better then me if those points are an issue.
