That's an E86 'M' with different bumpers. Looks like they took inspiration from the hideous Chrysler Crossfire.
Very strange putting different style wheels on it.

Also quite amusing is that even in 2001 a 1,200kg two seater car was considered as 'lightweight'.

If my design team put that on my desk I think I'd be inclined to offer them new positions in the internal audit function - that or pass them their coat and show them the door

The BMW Zagato Coupe which was displayed at a show in Europe (can't remember which one) should have been the E89 coupe. Based on the E89, it was a much better looking car than that Z29 'effort'.
