Guys im due a new car in april, and i am going for a new citreon c4 a car new to the market in 2021.Im going for the 3 cylinder 130 hp turbo petrol version,as i know that engine has won awards, and is presently in my cactus.A great engine!this car is approx 20 grand, the full electric version is approx 30 grand.Should it not be the other way around????the amount of components that car companies are saving with electric cars is amazing ,no engine cost,no exaust cost, and many other things they are saving on.Iv read some think electric cars are one big car company scam.I was in a tesla s, and thought the interior bare ,mean and awful, with rock hard leather.Old elon knows how to save money. The salesman tried to push an electric version on me, but i told him my thoughts as above .I hope this electric things die s out, some say its inevitable but things and ideas do change.

They should be similar really with the costs, but sadly the car companies still have a sell a lot of fossil fuel cars to use up that investment they made in the factories and staff.

The price premium will continue until there is more competition in the market. There is no valid reason for it as batteries prices have dropped through the floor in recent years.
