Purchased by me in February 2019 from the previous owner who had done a lot of work getting the car mechanically perfect including a Suspension refresh and a Braking refresh as well as camshaft sensors and lambda sensor replacements. Oh and a new Colour coded Hood just before I picked it up.
Wishing to return the car to factory specifications I accepted the offer of Lotus white seats and Style 78 wheels from the previous owner at purchase time.
And over the last year have replaced the lowered springs with OEM BMW sports springs (it was too low for my taste) and set about replacing all Recommended mileage service components. Incl. Radiator, Water Pump, Power steering Fluid and Reservoir (it has a filter in the Reservoir) Gearbox , differential oil and also had the front Exhaust manifold ends replaced on the down pipes and exhaust as they were noticed by the garage to be badly corroded.
I have also replaced lots of broken clips and light lenses and even the headlamps that were Blooming on the inside. I have had the rear brake copper pipes replaced as they were a long term advisery on the MOT.
I have, this Year had the front bumper repaired and resprayed (as someone had kerbed the Front bumper – probably when it was Lowered

Having moved at the tail end of 2019, I find that the new garage is just too small to work on the car comfortably so the bigger stuff like sills and such are beyond me, coupled with only covering 1800 miles last year ,it is time to think about moving this car on to someone who can appreciate this car more than I can
Just Mot’d and once I got the headlight aim adjusted it Passed so currently has 12 months MOT
