Can you define given up the ghost a bit Darren, overheated/smoking/seized, etc, lots of engine problems can be solved without changing the full engine. Been there a few times.
1998 it'll be the same as mine, if you're searching ebay it's the 1.9 Twincam, M44 1.9, M44b19 or any variation on those.

Yes, he’s about to break the whole car, red leather interior, decent hood, sills and rear wings are rotten, as are (IMO) the rear arms. No cat. I’m hopefully getting the bonnet to replace the dented mess I currently have.
