1996 Z3 New to Me

Hi,
I'm Doug. I live in the Rochester NY area and just bought a 96 Z3. 170k miles. Needs a new top and some cosmetic clean up, but otherwise in pretty good shape.
Excited to start on this new project.

Thanks. Just completed my first z project. Driver side mirror was duct taped on... fortunately it came with a new mirror.
So, after removing hot glue and duct tape, I was able to twist the mirror up and remove the two bolts.
Didn't want to pull the door panel and pull the wiring, so I just cut it and spliced the new mirror on. 4 small wires.
wrapped everything up in electrical tape and bolted the new mirror on.
Mission accomplished.

A small but effective start. Top tip, if you fold the mirrors in squirt a bit of ACF-50 up into the mechanism, it'll twist with two fingers forever.
