Looks and sounds like nothing else... Awesome! Well done Gary! Maybe one day i'll be in a position to "collect" cars like that - need a bigger driveway first though...

Strangely enough, we had a corvette down by our office a week or so ago - we have a top car audio place opposite (Huets Car Audio) and they deal with all sorts of motors. Even had an SLR in there recently! :)

Again, NOTHING sounds like a yank big bore engine!!

As a kid growing in the SF-Bay Area, there were lots of Vettes in the area. A garage near our house was a Corvette specialist. We (friends and I) used to go by and check out all the different ones being serviced. The 327s with manual gearbox were our favorites. 1st gear whine was awesome! In High School one of my good friends inherited a 1st year model (1953) with a 2 speed automatic and an inline 6. A real dog, but one of the prettiest vettes of all, imo.
