That's probably very good advice TonyI wouldn't want to own one Niall, not even sure I'd like to drive one anymore. We've all been thoroughly spoiled and I think the best thing is to just look and keep wondering mate. Like an old girlfriend

Probably more trouble than a Zed but I would give it a try.I think an E Type is probably on a lot of peoples wish list (certainly mine), but I wonder just how much fun they are actually to live with? you know, being old, British and Jaguar ...
Totally agree with you Gary. Give me a 60's merx please!Whilst on my travels across the south of the UK I see plenty of 60's cars on the side of the road with the bonnets up, and sad to say that a high proportion of them are E type Jags and Triumph Stags.
Like many people my age, I used to lust after both, but wouldn't want one now. Give me an old Merc any day
Is that spaghetti, linguini or noodles ?This is why I would never go near one of these.....

100 lashes and burn him at the stake be boring if we all liked the same think mate. I thing the Ford Sierra XR4i and Ford Escort RS1600i are stunnersShout away. I've never been a fan, I think they are out of proportion and just look nose heavy. Love old XJ's from the 60's and 70's and most German stuff from the same era but just can't like the E-type sorry.
I had two of those when I owned my garage. A 3.6 which was fine and as pictured there a 5.3. Nightmare and troublesome. Had several XJ 4.0 and they were great. Had the XJR 4.0 supercharged which was superb. This is why I would never go near one of these.....
