Southernboy's BMW Z3 Seat Belt Guide Modification
It's all too common that the BMW Z3 seat belt guides snap leaving them useless and in need of replacement. The process to change them involves removing the seats, then the covers and fitting new guides.
I have designed a simple alternative with my BMW Z3 Seat Belt Guide Modification kit. My kit has the advantage of the following:
1. They add an extra splash of style to your current seat belt guides, they are all engraved with a "roadster" style logo.
2. Prevention: Under normal use they prevent the seat belt guide from breaking in the first place.
3. Repair: If the seat belt guide is already broken it will hold the 2 peices of the guide firmly in position so that replacement is not required.
It's a great preventative modification and repair solution which is unobtrusive and compliments the car.
Supplied with the required fixings (thread forming screws).
The BMW Z3 Seat Belt Guide Modification kits are available at
£25 per set of two, and includes postage to the UK/EU.
Southernboy's BMW Z3 Seat Lift Modification
The BMW Z3 Seat Lift Modification is designed to raise the fronts of the seats sufficiently to reduce the tendancy of the occupants sliding forwards on their backsides and slouching. The BMW Z3 does not have a tilt mechanism on the seat base, but is fairly common on leather car seats.
They are designed to achieve an optimum lift whilst not restricting the adjustability of the seat recline, or backwards/forwards motions.
I developed these in conjunction with a friend who worked in the design department for Land Rover. He assisted me with the specifications for achieving the correct safety standards, and identifying the steel required to ensure they would be as good as the seat fastening system on the seat rails.
The fitment requires no alteration to the OEM seat rails, takes about 10 minutes and is fully reversible if required.
The BMW Z3 Seat Lift Modification kits are available at
£36 per individual seat kit, and includes postage to the UK/EU.
Southernboy's BMW Z3 Armrest (non-OEM Cupholder Version)
This is the BMW Z3 Armrest I designed that does not require the OEM plastic centre storage/cupholder to fit it.
Fitting requires no alteration to the OEM status of the car, and removal will leave your car original. It is supplied complete with a detailed fitting guide and all the components to complete the task.
It is upholstered in real leather and comes in a choice of Black or Tan/Beige. If you want to colour match your specific interior, then you can recolour the Tan version with a colour matched dye. The frame can be supplied either as black, or silver anodised with matching screws.
It comes with a fold away cup holder which is situated under the armrest. They are very comfortable and as any BMW Z3 owner knows, long drives can get uncomfortable as there is nowhere to rest your elbow. They are sufficiently wide enough to accomodate your passengers elbow as well.
The BMW Z3 Armrest is available at
£125, and includes postage to the UK/EU.
Southernboy's BMW Z3 Armrest (OEM Cupholder Version)
This version of the BMW Z3 Armrest is to fit on to the OEM Cupholder (not included).
Supplied with all the neccessary fittings and an installation guide.
The BMW Z3 Armrest is available at
