MEETING POINT: will be as last year the Starbucks on the A40 at Ross on Wye - Ledbury Rd, Ross-on-Wye HR9 7QJ (just at the Ross end of the M50) This post code may take you elsewhere so please enter the full address into your SatNav. Proposed meeting time at Starbucks is at 9am onward for coffee, natter and final instructions.
There will be two groups this year as I have another group leader that is local (thank goodness, my nerves couldn't take another 22 car group
) The first group will leave at 10:00am, 2nd group at 10:15am
I will sort the groups out as soon as the list is finalised.
First stop is Tintern Abbey and the Anchor Tea Rooms (approx 1hr)
Second stop is The George Inn St Briavels (approx 1 1/2 hrs) ( I will collecting food orders soon for those that want to pre-order)
So lets hope the sun shines again and the trees don't let us down.

OK folks the dry runs have been done and the routes finalised, for those who want them (and I recommend as many as possible get the sat nave files) below are the links to the 3 routes, they are in order, hit the links, they will take you to MY Routes, once there (for each) click the "Save as" button, this will then give you a list of file types, choose the correct file type for your Sat Nav and save to your computer, then transfer onto your device. If you have any issues drop me a line, but please have a go at doing yourself first.
On route 3 there are two escape options, at way point 8 (Monmouth those who are going home to South Wales can exit left here to join the A40 to Newport. At way point 10 (Huntley) those going south can turn right towards Gloucester (A40) to join the M5. Those who want to join the end of the run at Starbucks Ross just follow the leader.

To Confirm. Meeting Point Starbucks Ross on Wye - 9am onwards.
Group 1 (Leader Niall Z3) will leave at 10am, Group 2 (Leader Sandra Z4) at 10.15
I'm not choosing who's in what group, the closest 11 cars to the exit will be in group 1 the rest in group 2.
We have confirmed reserved parking at Tintern Abbey, this will either be the same car park as last year or the private field behind the Anchor hotel (weather dependant) we wont know until the day so just follow your leader!
Total Driving time will be approx 3hrs and 96 miles. Its been kept short just in case the weather is bad, and that the nights are drawing in and many have a long drive home, and so there is plenty of natter time
I will have the same route notes as last year for those who want them. So just hope for good (dry) weather and that there are some leaves left on the trees.
One last thing. IF you cant make it or have changed your mind about attending PLEASE let me know ASAP
