Hi she’s still in a coma I’m afraid, the are very hopeful she will come around but they’ve tried over the last 3 days and it hasn’t quite worked. They will try again tomorrow hope it works ok,she has a very bruised ankle and a broken eye socket which look horrible but will get better with time . The driver made the excuse that the sun was in his eyes...

Feel for you and the family Hugh, a truly horrible situation to be in. Good Luck to all.

The brain is a remarkable organ. It can take a little coaxing to return normal consciousness and can take a little while but often a full recovery is made. I hope scans have shown no injury. Fingers crossed.

That is great news Hugh. Will likely be hard and slow progress at first while the body repairs itself, but, a couple of weeks should see big improvements.
Sadly I expect the driver who did this is likely to get off Scott free. They will never see the pain and suffering they have caused, especially in these hard times. Nor will they pay anything towards the massive emotional and monetary cost. I hope though they are suitably chastened.
